My kids are first-timers as school children. We have reached a consensus that they will go to school this school year. I have high hopes that they will have an easier time shifting from homeschooling to regular schooling since they are familiar with the school and big sis is also enrolled there.
For sure they will have to adjust to different things and some are:
- wake up schedule since they will have to wake up real early to catch the school bus
- school furniture since they will have to use desks and not sit on the sofa when they read their books or do seatworks on the dining table
- uniforms since they can’t go to school in their jammies
- eating packed lunches
I’m sure there are a whole lot more they will need to adjust to but I am hopeful that they will pull through 🙂
