Vettel Wins Again

Sebastian Vettel wins 2011 Italian Grand Prix.

No surprise there, this guy drives well and he drives fast. And yes, he is on his way to dominate Formula One to win his second title.

The son’s favorite driver is currently #7 and is 4 points ahead of THE Michael Schumacher.

Whenever I see my son and my hubby get excited watching these races, commenting here and there about so many things like time lapse, pit stops, use of steel drums, pace cars, yellow and red flags, chicane and grid penalty, I can’t help but gush and wish they’d be doing this kind of bonding for a long time (or until there are Formula One and Moto GP races).

Lonely Ride

We had an early start yesterday morning. The long early morning drive was a bit boring, save for some music playing. I would have wanted to sleep but I’m not comfortable sleeping when in transit, except when I am extremely tired.

Early Morning

We also listened to the early morning news chatter and truthfully, I’m glad we weren’t stuck in traffic like other commuters. We just switched to music when the topics discussed were not that relevant to us. Some of the topics we listened to that were discussed were the return of a senator after months (or was it more than  a year) of not appearing because he has a case, Japan tsunami effects, hgh releasers and summer fun activities for the kids.

Going home was a lonely ride too, because the night was extra dark and the drizzles didn’t help perk up the mood. I was sleeping on and off on our way home and was glad when we arrived safely.

Was it worth the long hours on the road? Of course! I got to spend a few hours with my parents and children vacationing with them. Our youngest child was left behind though.

Sebatian Vettel Formula One 2010 World Champion

Congratulations Sebastian Vettel, Formula One Grand Prix 2010 World Champion.

“Sebastian Vettel drove a masterful race to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and lift his maiden Formula 1 world title.

The 23-year-old Red Bull driver was third in the standings but led from pole and saw other results go his way to become the youngest champion.” – David Ornstein, BBC

Formula One is my hubby’s super favorite motor-sports show, and MotoGP comes next, if I’m not mistaken.

The son is in the same mold for he religiously watches the races, even if it means he will wake up a little after midnight to watch some races live. The son roots for a different driver though, Nico Rosberg while I like Fernando Alonso. Formula One drivers, some even younger than Sebastian Vettel, are very dedicated, hardworking and determined to make their way to the top. I have to tell him that he can be a winner too, in whatever field he wants to be, if he has dedication, passion, hard work and determination.
