Christmas has come and gone but the memories are still fresh.

We posted about ways on how we could possibly spend a Frugal Christmas without sacrificing quality.

We shared about Christmas traditions.

We shared our fondest memories of Christmas when we were younger.

So now the Weekly Question asks:

How was your Christmas?

My answer:

Christmas was great although hubby and I were not able to rouse the kids from sleep to have the Noche Buena with us.

They were up and about early on Christmas Day where we spent breakfast in hubby’s family home with his siblings. Their mom (my MIL) is not here so lunch was canceled. Gift-giving was done as well as taking photos by the tree.

While these were happening, hubby’s brother and his family in VA were on Skype, as well as a BIL’s who was with MIL then, girlfriend in CA was online too.

We trooped to hubby’s aunt’s home where we had lunch and we stayed there till late afternoon.

We went to church after that and went home merry and tired, even if I thought these thoughts about Christmas.

Share how you spent your Christmas here.

Round-up:

Just a few more days to go before the big day comes. You know what I mean, Christmas.

For everyone in the world celebrating this special day, they have traditions old and new, that they practice when celebrating this special day.

So the very late Weekly Question will focus on sharing (old and new) Christmas traditions that you and your family have:

What are the Christmas traditions and you and your family practice?

My answer:

We don’t have really set traditions. Before we have the Noche Buena, we pray and the children sing “Happy Birthday, Jesus”. The the children open some of the gifts that they have. The others are opened in the morning.

On Christmas Day itself, the children open the remaining gifts before we go to church and go to my husband’s family home to have lunch. It usually is a potluck affair. After lunch, there is exchange gifts among the children.

This year though, its going to be different. My mother-in-law is in the province to celebrate Christmas with her mom, hubby’s grandmother, who is quite advanced in age.

My late father-in-law’s sister invited us to go to their house for lunch on Christmas Day. We are still thinking about it since the kids prefer we just don’t go anywhere.

How do you and your family celebrate Christmas? Share your traditions here.
