June Happenings

One of the best things to look forward to in June are weddings and here in the Philippines, the opening of classes. Both entail a lot of shopping, attending to details as well as yes, a whole lot of expenditures.

Weddings are wonderful family events. These are even made special when the couple go the distance to look for unique wedding favors (including bridesmaid gifts) as well as make the wedding unique and happy.

The opening of classes is one of the events to look forward to by families especially for those going to the big school for the first time. Many a tears are shed, both by the children and the parents.

June is also a day of celebration for my family since today, June 16, is my dearest mom’s birthday. It is also my parents’ wedding anniversary.

Do you have anything special for the month of June?

School Day Jitters

June 15, 2010 is the first day of school for my three children. As of now we are slowly purchasing the things they need. Next week is the week they starting to bed early again and that will probably have to be enforced with me too since I have to wake up early to prepare their packed lunch.

This school year is probably the start of a very busy one for us since the homeschoolers will be going to school. We will be dealing with a lot of projects, homeworks, school programs and other school-related issues not excluding financial matters.

Maybe I should start getting wrinkle removers supply for myself in anticipation for all these things 😀

Oh, and maybe this is THE time to start on that time management schedule. For me.

C5-Mindanao Avenue-NLEX

Thinking Ahead

Uncertainty lurks at every corner and people who have planned well has made steps ahead of time that will not make them vulnerable to unseen changes.

We made such step when the children were young and we got them plans that will somehow ensure something waiting for them when the time is right.

Yes, I am talking about life insurance lead.

We pay for what we can afford and not what we want to have at the end of everything. That was what the agent told me and it  made sense 🙂

Messy Room

The inflatable swimming pool of the kids is inside the house, right smack in the middle of the living room, among the contemporary furniture.

Good thing no one comes over for a visit or they would be shocked to see some litter in the pool. We have been doing some inventory of the school supplies and some of the discarded items are placed there for disposal once the yard-cleaning lady comes in. She gets some books and school supplies from us.

I really hope to clear the living room up this week, if only I have the time and energy (the heat is so unbearable at 38 degrees C) to do so.
