Good Key Words
Key words are words that are being used by those who search relevant topics in the internet.
As a teacher, key words are important in teaching children about reading comprehension. As a teacher, we help the children develop using good key words to be able to understand math word problems, inferencing drills or “reading between the lines” skills.
So what are good key words as used when going online?
Key words are words that are used by people searching for information in the net. These words are then retrieved, in this case in the net, from search engines. Key words are generated by indexing or other keyword extraction methods.
One sure thing that will make your site, whether its a business website or a personal blog, easier to find in search engines is to choose the appropriate key words that relate to your products, services, niche, specialization, and blog’s different posts.
Generalized terms are much harder to find in the search engines because there are other sites “competing” for a high search rank other than you. The more specific words a blogger uses in his posts, the more likelihood that search engines, and people searching for those topics, can find you or your post.
One of the effective places where you can be easily found is by properly using your site’s html title.
How?
Because html titles shows what your post or article or page is all about, in just one sentence, your post/page can be easily found.
For example, I wrote a post about a recent weekend event that we went to. This is the html’s title:
http://teacherjulie.com/2007/11/18/motorcycle-philippines-grand-eyeball-and-toy-run-2007/
The html title above would be better searched than if I used an html title like this:
http://teacherjulie.com/2007/11/18/so-many-motorcycles-in-one-place/
