For me personally, I don’t see anything wrong with using “used” items as long as these are still in good condition and are priced reasonably. Except of course for personal items like clothes and shoes, I’d get a few choice used items if there is a need and the budget is tight.
Being frugal has its own rewards as long as you do things properly.
