I learned about the Disappearing Aral Sea when my husband was so engrossed with watching the BBC series Long Way Round starring Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman.
How could I have missed this? I asked myself because I have always been “fascinated” with the environment and its drastic and damaging changes.
