Sins of a Wicked Duke by Sophie Jordan

Sins of a Wicked Duke (The Penwich School for Virtuous Girls, #1) by Sophie Jordan is a wonderful book.

When I wrote the book title in my list of books that I have read (Yes, I do have a list which needs to be uploaded to my Goodreads account ASAP) I wrote this: I love this book and how the words were stringed together.

Sins of a Wicked Duke

“I wish for adventure. I wish to matter. I wish for a home.”

Fallon is lovable despite her trying to be tough which is understandable because of how difficult her life was. Dom is a wicked rake. Together they sizzle amidst questions on how that can happen since Fallon is a footman at his home. The book did not disappoint.

Part-Time Marriage by Jessica Steele

Part-time Marriage by Jessica Steele is an odd story, almost all about work schedules and such.

Part-Time Marriage

I just wanted to know how they will end up so I skimmed and proceeded to go to the end part. 😁

This was a part of my “to read old books crazy phase.”

Heart of the Outback by Emma Darcy

First things first, the name Emma Darcy is odd. Emma by Jane Austen who also wrote a book with a Mr. Darcy. Anyway,  though the plot needs a lot to be desired, the h who has spunk and is quite a personality and to be honest, she would probably do better without the H who cheated on his wife (alive and invalid!) and who made her pregnant. One thing though, she should not have been a bit harsh to the H’s daughter.

Heart of the Outback

That getting blind though, it was a bit overboard.

The HEA seems forced. The H should have been made to work hard before he is involved in the lives of the h and their child.

A Throne for the Taking by Kate Walker

Alexei, heir to the throne of Mecjoria, sought by Duchess Ria to return to take his reign. He proposed marriage. They used to be BFF but Lexei was exiled from the country and was doubted whether he is the true heir to the throne of not.

A Throne for the Taking

Fake royalty and fake kingdom, this story didn’t resonate with me was quite forgettable. If perhaps it was the circumstances were different, this would have been an enjoyable read.

No More Lonely Nights by Charlotte Lamb

I have been a reader of romance novels ever since, with special mention on Mills and Boon books. It is in this regards that I decided to look for those 70’s-90’s published books. I mostly read late 80’s – 90’s books before, hah.

Charlotte Lamb‘s No More Lonely Nights is different from other romance books because the woman who supposedly is marrying the main guy is not like other b!tchy characters who are spiteful. Save for the main guy’s sis and the explosive chemistry between the two main characters and their suspicious nature in some instances, this is just an ok read.
