News about oil spills never cease to make me sad like the Louisiana Oil Spill that happened a few weeks ago. Not only do oil spills cause health concerns to the people living near the body of water where the accident happened, oil spills also does ecological imbalance that takes several years of rehabilitation to “repair” the damage that has been done.
No one wants oil spills and being face to face with a Louisiana Jones Act.
For countries/places with few resources to help them do clean-up and rehabilitation, it is indeed a scenario one does not wish to be faced with. Of course, with cases like oil spills, those who did damage should be made responsible. I hope the lawmakers in our country will make laws that will address these disasters, if they have not done anything about it yet.
