Sherlock BBC Series

I just watched the first two episodes of Sherlock, BBC’s TV Series.

I love its fast-paced and modern setting, though of course I would miss the “grayness” of the older version where hansoms ply London’s streets and where Holmes’ clients wear those gentlemen finery. Dr. John H. Watson’s character in the series is young though of course, I “see” him as rather older.

One of the quotes I love in the first episode is: “Anderson, don’t talk, you lower the  IQ of the whole block.” *insert guffaws here*

Holmes is really a brilliant character and he would probably not last long in banking jobs because his wit and humor would turn people off. Imagine coming to him at a teller and he would say “You are going through a rough time with your work. You probably are looking for another one where you find less stress. You need to update your wardrobe but is confused as to what kind of fashion statement you must heed.”

Am not a Sherlock Holmes fan. No. I just read the two volumes of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle‘s books. Twice. Thrice. 😉
