Family Issues

One of the most sensitive topics to talk about would be family issues.

More than anything else that could get ugly, family issues could top the list. And why not? The airing of a family’s dirty laundry is one that gets uglier even if mediation is being done.

Families can destroy each other, flinging mud at each other for a parcel of land or the promise of getting one’s hand in the family coffers.

I sympathize deeply with a friend whose husband is not in good relations with his own family. After months of searching for a place to stay and for movers to help them, they finally were able to move in to a new house.

Now they have found peace after living in the home of the in-laws.

Or so they thought.

The supposedly more mature members of her husband’s family removed his children from their family’s group mail. My friend’s son asked if they will still use the family name because of what happened.

Yes, even children are not spared from the hurt and pain that family members cause each other. Shame on adults immature people who show bad behavior and choices in the way they treat these children.

By the way, from my friend’s narration, I realized that moving to a new place is not as easy as one thinks it is even if there are moving companies New York who can help with the move.

We are not in the process of moving, even if I so desire to not be in this neighborhood of ours but that is another story.

Talaga yatang ganyang ang buhay! Family issues are the worst because the young ones, who do not know what is going on, are the most affected.
