We Need a Korg Upgrade

Looking at the newer Korg keyboards, I came across a Korg x50. X50?! We only have an X5 which we got almost two decades ago. It is still in great condition of course.

I showed the husband what it looks like and he said he wants one! Could we have an upgrade or a trade-off to offset the price? LOL.

Korg X5

Yep, we definitely need an upgrade, especially now that the children have been using this keyboard we have and seem to be looking for something more than what the features can offer.

Like a Don

No, the big guy here is not a “DON” like from those family names that sound like “Corleone”. He is in fact the Drama Coach of my boy who is also in the photo.

Afternoon sun

The setting is just right for a movie if there are props like padron cigar, a bottle of chilled bubbly and an old automobile near them.

I took this photo while they were rehearsing for a school play where the son is one of the two lead characters. The name of the play is The Cat Painter, an adaptation from the book with the same title written by Becky Bravo. The son IS the Cat Painter 😉

New Musical Piece

Here is our eldest child, playing a new musical piece, probably from one of her favorite anime series.

Piano

She has no formal musical background but she can play the piano and the flute. She said she wants to learn how to play the guitar, we will see if that is possible this summer before she goes to college in June.

How do your children spend their summer vacation? Do they like hopping, skipping and jumping in gymnastics? What about kicking balls and running in soccer? Or maybe learning how to hold shop shure microphones in singing lessons?

Let Your Children Play

Are you the kind of parent who is constantly in need of aa rechargeable batteries, on the lookout for electrical sockets to plug your children’s devices and always anticipates the latest update on the latest handheld virtual games?

or…

Are you the parent who lets her children get down and dirty, ride bikes, play with bubbles, play with toys that can be built and torn apart or have her children make their own toys from recycled materials?

3 Bubbles

Which ever you are, remember to let your children be children and let them play, play and play!

As my tween son would say: “I don’t have free weekends” because he has Saturdays lined up for Drama Club rehearsals for a big play two weeks from now 😀

Summer Plans

January is far from over but my kids are planning how to spend their summer vacation already. They want to stay with my parents and go to this school that teaches guitar and piano lessons. My youngest child can play the guitar while the eldest child plays the piano. Both didn’t have any formal lessons.

The piano player plays when there are yamaha keyboards at musicians friend available. Not that she is good unlike those with formal lessons but she could play.

I don’t want to think about summer yet because I want to enjoy the cool weather 😀
