Boring ba ang Summer Vacation Mo?

“Nakakabato naman.”

“Walang magawa.”

“Nakakatamad, walang happening.”

“I’m bored to tears.”

Pero teka, is there such a thing na walang magawa?

Today, Not Next Week

Every time I pass by this mall on my way home from my part-time work every Friday, I always want to look at the dainty dresses I see hanging on the racks. (Hah! Why I would want to buy from the racks which would mean a hundred or more people have the same dress is beyond me, lol)

I want to wear dresses for a change. I am getting a bit tired with my shorts and shirt ensemble. Sometimes.

When I had a buy a dress for me a few months ago, I dreaded going to the plus size evening dresses, not because I don’t like the designs but because I can’t accept that I can only buy something that will fit me in that section. How pathetic!!!  Hehe.

I am starting a new diet this week tomorrow. And yes, according to my mother, “tomorrow will always be there, why not say TODAY?”

Yep.

Have You Ever Met…

I have long wanted to ask this question to my friends: Has there been anyone you have yet to personally meet but when you are face to face, you want to tell this person that you “know things” about him/her even if you have not met yet or has not been introduced yet? In others words, you want to convey the message that there really no need for an introductions because this person’s reputation precedes him/her.

My answer: yes, a few times I would have blurted out if I have not controlled my tongue. Of course I feel embarrassed inwardly if what I have heard are untrue. But otherwise…still I don’t want to be judgmental lest I be judged as well.

What about you?

Celebrating Christmas

I am guilty of not writing a Christmas post. Been very busy with house chores.

I remember a song I’ve always loved as a child: “When Christmas time is over and presents are away, don’t be sad… Keep Christmas with you all through the year…”

People put so much emphasis on the gifting (yes, let’s admit we rather like being given new tech toys, that new bag, north face jackets and even beauty products) and celebrating Christmas without really understanding why this is being celebrated in the first place.

Did you indulge too much during this Christmas? How have you celebrated Christmas?

Babies are Blessings

Don’t we love babies? I know I do!

Babies are blessings and we can’t fault the parents if they tend to overindulge or overspend for their beloved little ones from birth announcements to signature shoes and clothes (that can’t be worn after a few times), signature strollers, rockers, car seats, cribs, changing tables, dressers and those other big bulky things like that a wee person seem to need. And speaking of needs, when it’s a baby’s day out, expect a bagful of things like baby bottles, diapers, change of clothes, towels, wipes and what-have-you’s that can last a few days even if the baby isn’t brought home.

When babies coo, we feel happy. When babies cry, we get worried. When babies smile, we smile back.

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.  ~Author Unknown
