I have blogged about blogging hazards before but I just can’t remember where I have written the post and here is the link 😀
Can blogging be hazardous to your work?
Yes it is,whether one works in a workplace or if one is a stay-at-home-person. How and when can blogging be hazardous?
Here are some, yes, some signs:
- Are you more often than not late for work because you blogged till the wee hours?
- Is your dominant wrist hurting?
- Do you talk about what other people are saying, unofficially, rather than quoting the dailies?
- Do you get the news faster than the media networks?
- Do you feel happy when you have a free day to blog?
- Do you take photos of anything and everything that you can probably write a blog post about?
- Do you try to jot down thoughts that you just had before you forget, and write a post about it?
- Do you constantly think about what you are going to write next?
- Do you forget to cook your meal or prepare your food because you just had to finish reading or editing this last post?
- Do the dishes pile up in the sink?
- Are the clothes scattered on the floor and not picked up? Yet?
- Are your front flabs sagging more and more?
- Do your eyes feel tired and dry and hurting?
- Do you feel like you want to sleep whenever you have the chance to do so?
- Do you have ants on your computer table due to the crumbs that fall when you eat in front of your computer?
- Do you bring your laptop anywhere with you?
- Do yo know more about what is happening to your blogger friends’ lives than your relatives or neighbors who don’t?
Ah, there are still so many things to notice but these will do for now.
How many did you check?
Here is an interesting snippet that I want to share which I quoted here in this post:
In the end, the biggest threat isn’t that you’ll fail to learn to blog. It’s that if you blog regularly for long enough, and begin to get comments and links from other bloggers, you’ll have trouble doing your day job.
