This book was an easy read, good for summer afternoons or cool evenings when you have a hankering to read somethinbg light. For me though, it comes a bit short with other cozy mystery plots.
Bun for Your Life by Karoline Barrett
Molly Tyler and Sean Corsino, bakery owner and detective, respectively, solving Calista’s murder in small town pop Destiny, NY. Love the setting and cozy mystery ingredients that I like are all there.
Someone to Watch Over Me by Judith McNaught
I like the book but it was a little bit sappy thought understandable since Michael has been in love with Leigh for a long time. I had an inkling that ______. It was a toss between two characters for me in id’ng the main suspect. I rushed through the ending but it didn’t occur to me that the stalker and the reason for his stalking was not identified.
Mack and Sam’s should have been a separate book
Splendid by Julian Quinn
I enjoyed this but it was a bit too predictable for me.

Being a detective, Mark Chastain is good. I like that he was able “read” into nurse Karen Whitlaw’s behavior. I didn’t thought about that twist at the end
