Market One at Lung Center in Quezon City

It has been a longtime since we last visited Sidcor, now called the Market One, located at the Lung Center in Quezon City. Here, one can find a lot of fresh produce, freshly baked goodies, organic food, live crabs and other fish products, cooked food, plants, pets, furnitures and the usual stuff like accessories, clothes and knick-knacks.

This is a few minutes from where we live.

Why we chose to go there yesterday resulted in both good and bad decisions.

It was a bad decision because it rained a just after we got there. Hubby and the two younger kids just got themselves a box of pizza, some drinks and went to eat in the car. Trixie and I went around to look for things to bring home. I wasn’t able to take photos too.

On the other hand, it was a good decision because we were able to get good fish parts. We had a “maya-maya ulo sinigang sa miso” or snapper (head) sour soup with miso. We also got vegetables, a tray of eggs (30 pieces), a grilled tuna for lunch and a piece of yakon (this is going to be another post).

One of the many fish stalls at Market One. This was where I got my snapper head and other fish parts (upper right side of photo).

Grilled fish. The stall’s tarp sign says it is Grilled Tuna but it doesn’t taste like tuna to me. Anyway, we still enjoyed it for lunch. I had it with fresh tomatoes and raw onions (gah!).

Paper Work for my Brother

My brother teaches college in a state university. He lives with our parents. Whenever we go visit them, I always see stacks of papers lying just about everywhere in the house, on the study table, under his computer table, sometimes on the sofa. These are test papers, quizzes and Research proposal papers of his students. He has no choice but to bring these home since he has to thoroughly check these.

He complains though. Since the university is located in an almost rural-like setting but most of the students come from rural communities, his students have some difficulties doing their Research proposal writing. This is not just a simple matter of thinking about the right topics to write about but there are also some issues regarding syntax and writing style.

The Research proposal format is one of the important aspects of a good research paper because it shows how thoroughly the paper has been made. The person or persons who will read a research paper should be convinced to read it if the format is nicely written and the rules given for a format are there. No heavy scientific terms and if there are, definitions should be given. Research paper should not be too long. These are two rules that are usually given. A good research proposal format should make the reader want to continue reading.

Weekly Question 1

If you are married would you know if your husband is reading your blog? If you are in a relationship, would you know if your partner is reading your blog?

I am married, have been married for 13 years. I am not really sure if my husband is reading my blog entries, even if we are, most of the time when we are home working, sitting side by side here at the computer table in the library. He does his work while I compose posts in advance or just blog or make work-related reports.

So does he read my blog?

Perhaps he doesn’t because most the the time, I tell him what I wrote about anyway.Perhaps he does, depending on the post. One thing that I know though, he is “forced” to read my posts concerning technical stuff like this one or tinker my post to have a scroll bar like this one.

Several things that I am sure of though, he has all my passwords, he has installed all my widgets and plug-ins and what-have-yous, only he can understand between the two of us how important is the c panel AND he has total control of my blogs.

I am just the writer and he is my technical guru/sysad and adviser when it comes to all things technical.

What about you? Does your husband or partner read your blog?
