Valentine’s day has come and gone but as they say, the memories remain. So now i ask, what are the songs that touched your hearts? By the way,i am mobile blogging so i will finish this post once i go online.

My answer:

I don’t have a particular song in mind that I can say I like because if truth be told, I am not that fond of listening to love songs, be these happy love songs or bitter sweet ones. Here and here are the kinds of songs that I like to listen to.

My husband and I are fond of music played on the piano particularly jazz We love New Wave too ๐Ÿ™‚

Photography Field Guide Digital Book

For someone like me who enjoys reading fiction, I seldom read books or instruction manuals on gadgets and operation of things with mechanism.

I was quite surprised when I felt myself get a book entitled National Geographic Photography Field Guide Digital by Rob Sheppard. I got this from the bookstore with a photo below before we went to the supermarket after our lunch out yesterday. To think that I never got to read my camera’s manual thoroughly because I asked my hubby to read it and explain to me ๐Ÿ˜€

The book is not new, in fact it was a few years old already but the way the concepts were presented by different guest writers specializing in different aspects of photography were written well so I figured, “why not?”

I know I still have a lot to learn in digital photography especially about how to use lighting fixtures to take the photo I want depending on where I will use the photos.

WordPress 2.7 Beta 1

When we attended the WordCamp Philippines 2008 last September, the highlight of the event was the unveiling of the new WordPress called 2.7 which is due this November.

First I have been putting off writing a post about this because my memory card got busted and all my photos were there. I have forgotten about this until I remembered that the files were recovered. Bah.

In the State of the Word talk, Matt showed us some photos of this 2.7 version.

WP 2.7 dashboard.

WordPress 2.7 Plugin page.

For now, the WP 2.7 is still in Beta 1. Click here to read about it. Click here if you want to download and test.

I would probably wait until the end of the month, the probable time they will have the final release, before I download this version. For now, I wait. Impatiently ๐Ÿ˜€

Lots of people have already started with their Christmas shopping. I know of some people who are done with theirs as I write this post.

Its just a few weeks before Christmas and everything seems to be hurrying by. The days are getting shorter. The people are hurrying to and fro.

There is something about Christmas really that makes one feel frantic. Perhaps it is because its that time of the year when reports have to be filed, work has to be completed, shopping has to be done to avoid crowds and traffic jams.

Since the advent of the internet, shopping can now be done in a breeze. How? Through online shopping of course.

There is no need to brave through the crowds, wait in line to pay and deal with kids who think the mall is their playground online shopping is done. Shopping in the comfort of one’s own home has never been better.

I still haven’t thought of anything yet to give to my husband but I am thinking he might appreciate getting something like this to start working on his carpentry skills:

October Was When I Officially Started My Blog

Yes, it was one cool October day when I officially started my special education blog, Teacher Julie. I was blogging then, using free blogging platform and I was maintaining three. Hah, quite toxic for me since the contents were just the same. Never would I thought that putting contents in three blogs would just prep my blogging behavior now that I am maintaining three four active personal blogs. That excludes my blog for my homeschooling children and the group blog about parenting.

Starting a blog then was something alien to me because being used to free blogging platforms, I did not particularly know how to start from scratch. The terms CMS, web hosting, and some technical terms were baffling. Truth is, up to now I really have no idea how to propagate a blog because it is THE hubby who does that for me.

First I had to have some web hosting tutorials which I got from my husband who patiently taught me how to go through the WordPress buttons. He didn’t know a thing about blogging then too, even if he is in Information Technology so he had to read a lot of web hosting articles.
