So how can you transform negative energy in the workplace?

Be able to know the source of the negative energy. Is the negative energy coming from the situation in your place of residence? You may wake up late, hurrying through your morning rituals and riding it out through rush hour traffic. Now you know you need to devise ways to deflect this negative energy that seems to drain all your energy even before you reach the workplace.

Is it the overbearing boss? Or the pay that is always given delayed? Or the co-worker who pester you with mundane details of her job description that you almost end up doing what she is supposed to do?

Examine yourself. Be honest with yourself. Do you maintain a happy disposition and positive outlook in life? Do you feel stress and have periodic bouts of stomach cramps and headaches during the day? Do you have trouble sleeping?

You do not have to absurd all these stresses all at the same time. You need to pause for a while to think and evaluate your situation. Maybe you need to accept that not everything happens even with the best-laid plans.

Identify what needs to be given more focus instead of dwelling on the negative energy. You are bothered by the chattering of the person in the work station beside yours? Then block out the sounds and concentrate on your work. Bothered by the annoying voice of the secretary dictating to you the things you need to accomplish?

Thinking about these things that bother you in the workplace will make you unproductive and in return, you become the source of that negative energy that you wanted to not encounter.

Be positive by maintaining a healthy and happy disposition. Staying positive will not only make you happy, it will also give you that much needed focus to concentrate on your work. Keep wary too of people who project negative energy.

Attract positive energy by transforming your own work station as negative-energy free. Smile more often. Do random acts of kindness. Choose carefully the words that you use when having a conversation with others. If you really need to ask others to stop doing what they do because you can not concentrate, do it in a nice manner so that other will not get offended.

Be able to widen your understanding of the people and the situations happening. Understand where other people are coming from by knowing them more. Be able to analyze situations and how you should appropriately react to these. Being more understanding does not only make you feel great about not getting annoyed at the littlest things, you also get some brownie points for being a sport.

Negative energy comes in different ways.

Before you even begin to point the source of this negative energy, it is best to look within your self first and examine how you view the work place in your own eyes. Then try to be more understanding and keep that focus on your work.
