Among the list of things needed to be bought for the renovation of a little room was an er Wagner. I had to look it up because honestly, I had no idea what it is to think that I always say I love going to hardware stores.
Unlike some friends who are well-versed with not just the terms but the how-to on having something constructed, I am totally not into immersing myself with construction and the things involved with it. I’d rather leave this aspect to the hubby.

We drive a Toyota sedan. The children call it “Black Car”. It is an old car but still running smoothly.
It has taken us to a lot of places and brought a lot of fun for everyone.
As far as relationships go, this car and its driver (the man of the house) do not have a smooth as silk and perfectly harmonious relationship so the need to get parts for Toyota comes up once in a blue moon.
The car will probably stay with us for a long time.

We voted. Did you?
Several of the candidates we voted for didn’t make it. We knew somehow that that might be a possibility but still we chose them because we believe that they can make a difference and that they are capable to do so.
We are not swayed by familiar names. We are not swayed by trends in surveys. We choose based on the agenda and objectives and political will to initiate change which we need.
I still believe that our nation will still be better but this does not just start with the leaders we choose to lead us. We should not complain that nothing changes based solely on the leaders we chose. Cliche it may be but we ourselves should initiate change, however small, if we want to have a better nation.

And because I am having a road trip withdrawal as well as a pining for hiking, I went through some nature photos in the archives, and those i have published in Instagram.
My kids and their cousins are in the vicinity of this wonderful beach at this very moment. I’m sure they are having a wonderful time right now, having lunch and bringing a lot of snacks (cookies, chips, deep river snacks) with them.
I just hope they don’t forget to apply the sunblock as we have instructed them to do so 😀

I am having a road trip withdrawal, if there is such a thing.
The hubby has been sick since Saturday and the planned (unplan) road trips scheduled for Sunday and/or Wednesday (a no-work Labor Day holiday) are just that: plans.
I’m sure a lot of vehicles with car bike racks were on the road earlier today. I am sure too that a lot of people are enjoying their day out at the beach or having picnics under the trees.
I really hope the hubby will get well soon not because I want to go somewhere else but because I can feel his wanting to get well enough.
