Sunny And Hot

weekendsnaphot_button.gif

It was a hot and sunny Sunday. We went to mass earlier so that we can go back home and rest earlier too.

Below is a photo of the church’s roof. The church is named Parish of the Holy Sacrifice and can be found inside the campus of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. This was designed by National Artist Leandro Locsin.

I took the photo while the younger children and I stayed outside in the garden during the mass. My hubby and eldest daughter stayed in the church.

Nestle Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

We had had another price hike in gasoline prices over the weekend. So what do we do then? Spend time at home, of course, and eat home-cooked meals and eat our free ice cream.

Free ice cream?

Yup, we got free tub of 3.4 liters of Nestle Cookies and Cream ice cream when we went to the Get Your Pop On Nestle Event last Thursday night. Woohoo!

Blocked Streets

Weekend had us stay in the house because of this very strong typhoon named Fengshen or Frank that bashed the country.

Saturday morning I was not surprised to see the scene in the photo below. It was a long night during Friday when I can’t sleep because of the noise coming from outside that in turn came from these:

Out to Dinner

It was Father’s day yesterday.

We just stayed in the whole day and had home cooked breakfast and lunch. We went to hear mass late in the afternoon. We also went out to dinner, kids’ choice and they chose this:

Overload

We almost had a disaster Saturday night when the electric cables erupted here and there. People were panicking for that was no joke. We dont have our telephone lines yet. I am posting a photo of people out on the streets, pardon the dark photo.

Big thanks to Wenchie for calling the electric company who came to fix the wires, after several hours. Hmph. Houses could have been burned by then. Good thing firetrucks were on standby.
