Motorcycle Safety
Hubby’s motorcycle had a bit of a problem last week.
He was able to scour motorcycle shops for something he needed to make it run. No, it does not have any mechanical breakdown insurance of sorts so he pays for whatever is broken and what needs to be repaired.
I do not particularly like the thought of him riding that two-wheeled ride because I fear for his safety. Sometimes he does not seem to see my reasons why I feel as such.
I trust his driving skills and quick judgment but I do not trust the other drivers on the road.
There I said it.

Karting Race Today
We are supposed to go watch a karting race today but the rains haven’t dwindled since Thursday.
Yes, the kids love motor sports although they enjoy playing these through computer games and watching videos online. We have been to several real car races before but my son has this thing about the high rev noise by the racing cars.
When these two young kids go online, they never fail to watch videos of racing cars. They also see those car crash videos and feel sad when these expensive exotics crash because they know McLaren, Lamborghini and Ferrari parts are very expensive.
Sigh. I thought the rains will stop by now, we can’t go to that karting race after all. Perhaps they will just play this today.

Can You Drive an RV?
I was watching an episode on DW-TV with a topic on how to drive/maneuver an RV by a woman who purchased/rented one for her family’s vacation.
Ack! i cringe when I see her drive in reverse and drive the big vehicle, not that she is doing it the wrong way but because I can not drive, lol! I hope she got rv insurance because if it that was me, I would surely need a comprehensive one 😀
Reckless
Reckless.
That is what I can describe a big number of motorcycle drivers here in the country.
I have written entries about it here and here but I don’t get tired of saying these things that I have observed time and again, day after day:
- these motorcycle drivers weave in and out of street lanes
- they do not wear the proper protective gears like armor jacket, knee and shin protectors, back (and kidney) protectors and sturdy helmets
- yes, they have helmets but they wear it on their arms/elbows, duh?
- they have two or three passengers with them and that includes children
These protective gears are VERY expensive, I agree, but what could be more expensive than that but lives on the line?
