Family Wedding Next Month

There is a family wedding next month.

I seriously need diet pills that actually work for vanity’s sake! 😀 How can I be a stage mom for my two kids who are included in the entourage if I don’t look as good as they do? Ugh!

Too late in the day I know but I still remember getting embarrassed when the tailor was measuring me for the dress I am to wear. He was saying the numbers loudly at first and almost whispered the numbers pertaining to my midsection. I wanted the floor to swallow me right there and then 😀

So seriously, is there any hope for me?

Suddenly…

I never thought I’d say this to myself: I long for a heated blanket.

Unusual, knowing that I can tolerate cool weather except of course in extreme circumstances which rarely happens due to our climate.

The weather has been cool lately all because the rainy season is in full blast. Daytime is another story though. It is the season of “suddenly” as a television commercial says: suddenly there’s rain, thunder, lightning, the works especially during the afternoon. People with weak immune system are getting sick.

Here are a few tips on how to avoid getting sick during these times:

  • get enough rest/sleep
  • load up on ascorbic acid
  • bring rain gear whenever you will go out of your house
  • drink plenty of fluids
  • get enough exercise

Circuit Training

I admit, I am not familiar with the term Circuit Training. Circuit what?

From the little I understood about Circuit Training, this is a round of activities targeting weight loss, muscle build-up, and increasing resistance, without the aid of big bulky fitness equipments.

I am thinking of getting into a program one of these days and I already took the first step because I just signed up for a free tryout.

I hope I won’t get too chicken to try this 😀

Bone Care

Do you take calcium supplement? I do. When I remember to, duh. I know at my age, I should be religiously taking calcium supplement especially since I am having pains on my arm.

My late father-in-law had a bad slip which caused fracture on his hipbone which prompted his hospitalization. The more than a month stay in the hospital brought about a lot of complications which contributed to his early demise.

Why is it important to take care of our bones?

The bones are the mainframe of our bodies which aid us in our mobility. Taking care of our bones is not really difficult especially when one is practicing healthy lifestyle. Food rich in Vitamin D, K, and B like red meat, dark and green vegetables as well as milk help a lot alongside having regular physical exercise.

Calcium and joint supplements have great benefits too.

Do you give your bones enough care?
