Krispy Kreme Chocolate Karnival presents Krispy Kreme Chocolated Glazed Doughnuts

We went to a full house and very well-attended Krispy Kreme Chocolate Karnival for Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts last Saturday.

kids at KK

It was a very hot day and there was no more elbow room for everyone inside the KK store to take photos of the chocolate doughnuts as these made their way out of the conveyor belt.

We had fun nonetheless with mommy blogger friends like Cookie, iMom, Feng, Lynn, Jane, and Noemi.

We went home with a box or a dozen of these yummy sweet doughnuts.

My youngest daughter played and completed all the four games they have for the guests wanting to bring home free doughnuts. Wearing a blue blouse behind my daughter is Feng, waiting for her turn to play 🙂

Below are other Krispy Kreme Chocolate Doughnuts that are now available:

Oh, by the way, you can send yourself and your friends email so that they can get a free Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed Doughnut for free!

Favorite Ice Cream

I love ice cream and I can probably have ice cream if I could and that means everyday, not just during summer, but even if the weather is a bit cold.

Why am I talking about ice cream? Because its summer!

To further whet your appetite, here is a yummy photo from Bubba Gump restaurant:

So now I ask, “What is your favorite ice cream flavor or ice cream concoction?

My answer:

Bakya, the Wooden Clogs

I have a similar post about shoes here but read below for my LP entry:

Bakya used to be THE most fashionable footwear to wear.

One can hear the sound of an approaching bakya-wearing person just by the mere sound of its heels click-clacking on the wooden floor, stones street or cobbled road.

I remember having one as a child, of course i was not as comfortable as those lightweight bakya imitation pair made up rubber that I had.

bakya

Come to think of it, the bakya showcases not just our unique culture but the inherent creativeness and craftmanship of the Filipino. Who would have thought details would be seen on these pairs?

Yan ang Pinoy! If only Pinoys channel these good traits to good use, then I am positive our country would benefit from it.

By the way, fans of Happy Feet would be delighted to read this article. To those who don’t know what it is, I encourage you to click the link too 😉

Dog Bling-Bling

(pero huwag lang ang mangungutang ha) I am not fond of jewelry maybe because I can’t afford to get these or because I feel its too much of a hassle to put these on before going somewhere and removing these when back in the house. But then, even if one can not afford these things, one can find ways to get them as long as one is able to pay and not resort to having credits.

Kaya ayan, kakaiba ang aking entry, dog bling-bling. So my entry is different, dog bling-bling.

pitbull

Dog bling-bling. Ang collar na suot ay important peroang ibang mga aso, nakupo! grabe ang mga suot na accessories parang hindi na sila comportable sa suot nila. These collars are necessary but you should see how the other bitches dogs are being dolled up like they are accessories and not living animals.

Ang sa akin lang naman, sa dami ng mga batang nagugutom eh sa ganito pa ang pinagkakagastusan ng ibang mga tao. For me, with so much poverty around us, I feel its too much that people spend a lot with things like these. Oh well…

“Don’t Discriminate”, says BB Gandanghari during the Bloggers Meet And Greet

Saturday afternoon we had the chance not just to meet and greet BB Gandanghari but to ask questions as well. This was made possible by Filipina Images (specifically Noemi and Dine)and the Philippine Online Chronicles or the POC.

For those who are wondering who BB Gandanghari is, she is now the persona known formerly as Rustom Padilla. Yes, that handsome matinee idol.

BB is articulate and she answers questions straight to the point. She has a sense of humor too and not to mention a great fashion sense.

I asked whether BB if there were any face-to-face in your face nasty remarks thrown at her and she said that she is happy that nothing like that has happened. The only “nasty” remark said was when she used the female restroom in one of the hip places in the Metro.

He thanked us bloggers for taking time out to see her for whatever reasons we have and to ask questions and for meeting her in person.

One of the things said that captured my interest was this line: “Change is good”

And to that I say, yes, change is good.
