Mithi

Mithi. Wish.

People say, “Be careful what you wish for”. By the way, I have written a post about the song “What Kind of World Do You Want?” that was sung by one of my favorite bands, “Five for Fighting”.

Ang sabi nga nila, “Be careful what you wish for” Nga pala, me post ako tungkol sa kanta naWhat Kind of World Do You Want?na yan ang message mula sa isa sa paboritong banda ko, ang “Five for Fighting”.

What do I wish for? Money? Fame? A new house? Better living conditions?

Ano nga ba ang mithi ko? Salapi? (kelangan magtrabahong mabuti para magkarun nito) Kasikatan? (hindi naman ako artista eh bakit kaya?) Bagong bahay? (eh binigay na sa amin itong bahay na ito kaya ok na yun) Mas maayos na pamumuhay? (sa tinging ko ok pa naman kami kaya huwag na lang muna ito)

So what do I wish for then?

Ano nga ba ang mithi ko?

That children would be able to play in a safe environment.

Sana makapaglaro ang mga bata sa ligtas na lugar, malayo sa kapahamakan.

That those needing to be put under proper care would be cared for.

Sana yung mga nangangailangan ng tulong ay matulungan.

That people will have decent places to live.

Bloggers Meet Dr Vicki Belo

weekendsnaphot_button.gif

Saturday after work, hubby and the kids brought me to the Belo Medical Center along T.Morato Street for a bloggers event. The Belo Medical Center is the leader when it comes to re-shaping bodies using mostly non-invasive treatments. Click here to visit their website, BeloMed.

We were first told about the history of the medical center by Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr.

Some numbers were presented (which I blurred) along with the presentation of their services.

The beautiful doctor herself, Dr Vicki Belo, personally greeted us and gave a talk about the purpose of having the bloggers invited to their center.

After that, we were told to try some of the treatments that they have there. I opted to try the Power Peel. Click here to read Power Peel.

That’s me, trying the Power Peel. I know, I could also do some other services but this will have to do for now ๐Ÿ™‚

We were also treated to a wonderful dinner at Packo’s Grill.

It was a wonderful night made more special by seeing blogger friends and meeting new ones ๐Ÿ™‚

Good thing I was able to upload these photos in my computer when we got back after the event because we had to reformat my memory stick yesterday.

G Unit

G Unit is the short version of the hip hop group from New York City called Guerilla Unit or Gangsta Unit.

One of their co-founding members is rapper 50 Cent.

My students love the G Unit caps and several of them even have several caps. The designs are intricately sewn. Most colors the caps use are white, gold and black.

Cars in the City

Having a car is a necessity if one lives in the city and the workplace is not easily accessible to the home front.

On the other hand, it can also be a liability because there are just so many payments, services and purchases one has to make in order to keep a car up and running. Sometimes, one feels he is better off not having a car at all especially when the bills pile up.

For one, car payments. The usual scheme for new car owners getting a brand-new car is that auto insurance is included when they purchase a car. Better have this handy especially when one does city driving.

What about engine troubles, car repairs, paint jobs, car wash, and audio gadgets? The list is just endless about motoring trends.

To know the latest in motoring trends, we try to go to car shows, once or maybe twice a year.

There is just something about ogling at cars, whether brand new like this Nissan 350z below,

or a car that has been brand-new years ago but has been modified or “set-up” according to my son, like one of my son’s favorite cars, the Nissan Sylvia or S14, that make one feels good, even if there was no purchase made ๐Ÿ™‚
