Grow Your Vegetable Garden

Growing one’s own vegetable garden is nothing new. With so many kinds of diseases that people get from food, it is no wonder some people have taken steps to ensure that they are eating fresh and pesticide-free produce.

That photo above is a part of the vegetable garden of a relative. In some parts of the garden there are beets, purple cabbages, lettuce and other greens planted.

They also have herbs planted in containers but are mostly placed in their garage.

Is a pond with ducklings koi, water lilies and pond pumps next in line?

Now, that is a great idea, methinks 😀

Partly Cloudy

Partly Cloudy is a short feature animation featured with the movie UP.

To those who have not seen UP, here is a YouTube feature of Partly Cloudy:

Animated films now have taken a turn where the animation look real, thanks to software development. Even those films featuring clay animation also took a new look, making the transitions smooth unlike the clay animation features we used to watch as children.

Protect Your Online Identity

Last week in Facebook, I requested a former student‘s mom to be a friend. She redirected me instead to another FB account.

Why?

Because the account I first saw which I thought was her, was in fact, created by another person! Yes, the fraud was using her name and made friends with her real friends and relatives.

I got an FB account using my real name so that I could escape the dilemma she is going through. I signed up so that I could play Farm Town with my friends so that I am sure that it is I who is using my real name.

I have read in an online article (which I can’t find anymore because I did not bookmark it) about doing this, signing up using your real name when joining online sites including social networking sites, to be able to protect one’s online identity and reputation.

So there, if you have to sign up for things like this, use your real names otherwise, people with not-so-good intentions will use yours.

You would not want that, do you?

White Balance

I forgot how I took this photo, I mean, what I did to achieve the effect for white balance.

This chandelier has six yellow bulbs all lighted up but I managed to have a photo like this (scratches head)

Philippine Flag

Do you know the women who sew the Philippine flag while the country was still colonized by the Spaniards? Alam mo ba kung sinu-sino ang mga kababaihang nagtahi ng sagisag ng ating bansa noong panahong tayo ay sakop pa ng mga Kastila?

if you answered Dona Marcela de Agoncillo, her daughter Lorenza and Delfina Herbosa de Natividad, you are correct!

Eto yung isa 🙂
