I Can Draw But. . .

Being a teacher had me teaching myself how to draw. I can do basic drawing well enough for my students to know what these are.

Is there is one thing that I really do not enjoy drawing? Yes, there is and that would be clocks. Yes, clocks for telling time.

I have told myself countless times that I really, really need to have clocks (without the hands) made out of custom rubber stamps for easier usage but guess what, I haven’t even tried to look for someone who can make these things or asked about it in my favorite school and office supplies store.

Oh, that small bucket of rubber stamps with the alphabet, numbers, and a whole lot of noun and verb words that I have is very useful when I am too lazy to draw but no clocks there, not even one 😀

School will be starting in a few weeks and I know I have to get just ONE clock on a rubber stamp so I may not have to draw pages after pages of these clocks.

Used Coffee Grounds for your Garden

I have heard about the wonderful benefits of using used coffee grounds mixed with the soil for plants and so I went to a nearby world-renowned cafe and asked for a bag of these used coffee grounds

I researched about this and I have found this page to be very informative

And so armed with a cup of these used coffee grounds, I went to my small vegetable garden and had these mixed in the soil

I hope the rains we have had for a few days will help these vegetable plants grow more yield

Now if only those birds wold stop picking on the buds, that would be even better 😀

Scaly Creature

One of the kids I work with got in early last Saturday and since the one who has a schedule before him was a no-show, we had some extra time to spend.

We talked a lot of things about gadgets, and concerns about school: grades, friends, subjects and his thoughts and dreams.

I spent a little time teaching him how to use the macro button on a camera and we came up with this photo of a wee Yellow Tang fish decor:

And that photo above was what we came up with 🙂

We could have spent a lot more time doing this so I asked him to bring their camera next time so we can go over some of the basics in taking good photos (ha! as if I am a good photographer).

After our session, we looked up on some surplus inventory net pages because we discussed about how much a mobile phone he likes is worth now that there is a newer model out in the market.

Kids these days, very tech savvy 🙂

UP-Ayala TechnoHub

Saturday night was spent at the UP-Ayala TechnoHub after we had our flu vaccine.

The place is sprawling, no doubt about it. The circular designs, the water fountains and the water formations at the back of the front buildings are very familiar since these are present in several Ayala properties like TriNoma and Market! Market!

The children enjoyed walking outside while savoring the warm night breeze and I know we are going to be back to that place sooner than we think.

Are Your Ready for Summer?

Are you ready for summer? The weather station said in the news yesterday that summer has officially started.

Now I am panicking because I should have started slimming down when the new year just started  😀

Now that I am about to do a drastic change in my work schedule, maybe I should try doing some fitness routines since I am going to have more time on my hands. Like mopping the floor while I’m dancing. Or doing stretching while I dust the library shelves.

Maybe I need to increase my intake of raw food like vegetables and fruit and stop the habit of driking soda and eating chocolates for dessert. Noooo!

Maybe I should think about Ephedrasil hardcore as an option.

Or maybe, I’ll skip summer and just bum in the house. Of course NOT. 😀
