Suman at Manggang Hinog

Orange, the color, is the theme for this week’s Litratong Pinoy. Of course, I wanted to put a photo of an orange fruit so that is fits the theme right? I guess not. For those who know me well, they know I dislike the color orange and fuschia pink so I do not have things belonging to me with that color.

Gasoline Prices

We, along with millions of other motorists who consume gasoline as we commute to and from work daily have been very wary of the prices of petroleum products last year.

From an all-time high, we are now enjoying a relatively low price, which we hope (cross our fingers and hope to the high heavens) will stay for some time. Well, I guess not since major oil companies in the country has gave feelers about a price hike. Hmph.

One of my son’s favorite things to do while we are on the road would be to look at the prices of the these products on the digital signage posted in front of the different gasoline stations we pass. He can say which gasoline stations offer the cheapest per liter 🙂

The other day he got worried when he didn’t see the red numbers in a gasoline station that he likes to look at because there were no numbers where there are supposed to be. Uh-oh! I hope they will not be changing their prices for a higher one soon.

Photography Field Guide Digital Book

For someone like me who enjoys reading fiction, I seldom read books or instruction manuals on gadgets and operation of things with mechanism.

I was quite surprised when I felt myself get a book entitled National Geographic Photography Field Guide Digital by Rob Sheppard. I got this from the bookstore with a photo below before we went to the supermarket after our lunch out yesterday. To think that I never got to read my camera’s manual thoroughly because I asked my hubby to read it and explain to me 😀

The book is not new, in fact it was a few years old already but the way the concepts were presented by different guest writers specializing in different aspects of photography were written well so I figured, “why not?”

I know I still have a lot to learn in digital photography especially about how to use lighting fixtures to take the photo I want depending on where I will use the photos.

Piko o Hopscotch

The color blue is the theme for Litratong Pinoy. This is my favorite color and most of shirts are blue.

Here is a photo of my children, (both in blue denim pants and the small one in red shirt) playing hopscotch with their cousins.

What’s with the blue you ask? Nothing I guess, I just wanted to show that there are still children who enjoy outdoors games and not glued to things that have remote controls and buttons to push.

Warm Pool Waters

We were invited to go to a swimming picnic yesterday.

We dd not accept readily because my two younger kids had fever last week and they weren’t too keen to go.

Anyway, we still went since the people who invited us are close friends who are like family to us.

I chanced upon Tony (an in-law of this family who invited us and who we just met yesterday) was doing a sketch in a sketch pad he gave to the birthday girl who was the reason for the party.

He drew this:

Not as fancy like las vegas hotels but for a short weekend getaway with warm pool waters and a view of a mountain with cool breeze, this is one we would not forego.

How was your weekend?
