New Priorities after Ondoy

Rehabilitation seems to be the correct word to use in terms of dealing with the massive losses that happened during Ondoy‘s wrath.

For some, gone are the cars that were either submerged in flood waters or seen floating away from the point of origin. Gone are the soft beds, the treasured books, tech gadgets, HDTV, important documents, and other things that seem important before the deluge came.

Now what?

It seems that there is a shift in the priorities after what has happened.

Now it is more about family, being together, helping those who are in need and cooperation.

Wonderful, just wonderful.

Now, would those looters stop their illegal activities now? Harrumph!

Still on Typhoon-related Issues

Panic buying. Health issues. Flooding.

These are just some of the issues that this country has to deal with and I think I haven’t even scratched the surface.

One of the major concerns are the bodies being retrieved due to death from the flash floods.

I am wondering though if having a mortgage life insurance would assure one of having to deal with these things easier.

And God help us as we brace ourselves to face another supertyphoon.

Natural Skin Care

My daughter used to use honey and oatmeal combination for her facial wash. Yes, it was an effective acne treatment because she had clear facial skin when she was using the said product.

Sad though it was when she ran out of the product and we had no way of getting it since we bought it from an out-of-town source.

Now she is using a commercially-bought cream soap. She likes the result so far.

Sometimes we use egg white as face mask.

For me, nothing beats natural ingredients to clean the skin. It is also a big plus if these natural food products like fruits and vegetables are eaten regularly for maximum benefit.

What natural skin care have you tried so far?

Mommy Bloggers

When fellow mommy bloggers get together expect a lot of topics to be covered.

We sure have an opinion or two on varied topics like child care, schooling, discipline, health care, product reviews and even life insurance leads. Oh yeah, have I mention showbiz talk too? (rolls eyes, lol!)

This friendship  with fellow mommy bloggers though has taken a step further.

How so? Because we do not only get together to have dinners or lunches or go to blog events, we also write about about our experiences especially since we know we are able to help and learn from other moms like us.

Blogging surely has come a long way and yes, we attest to the fact that “Motherhood is a journey best traveled with friends”

Back to My Morning Walks

After more than a week of daily heavy downpour, the sun finally shone. Early mornings are cool and just perfect for walking. Yes, I am back to walking after several days of “stagnation”.

I have been exercising indoors but for me, nothing beats doing these morning rounds, never mind the many dog poo piles I have to be on the look out for, hah.

The kids noticed (well according to them) that my midsection looked better before the week-long rains but now I think I am back to the same shape prior to walking. Sigh.

Fenphedra to the rescue?

Hmmm… maybe not yet, I will give this early morning ritual some more tries as I go back to my routine. I just hope the rains won’t come back yet 😀
