We Saw Saturn at Seven Suites Hotel Observatory

Momblogger friends and I were invited to the Noite de Carnival celebration at Seven Suites Hotel Observatory last Saturday.

Seven Suites Hotel Observatory

We were able to see the different rooms, sample the food and discover the nooks and crannies of the place. This would be a wonderful place for hubby’s project management software seminar.

My son still talks about his awesome experience of seeing Saturn through the big telescope at Seven Suites Hotel Observatory. There is one  big telescope there but that night there were three more smaller ones that we peered through to see Saturn and the moon ‘s craters.

Seven Suites Hotel Observatory is located at Hollywood Hills Subd, Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City, Philippines. (02) 217-5443 / 4906407 / 6820330 / 6822076

Know Your Carbon Footprint

Almost everyone is talking about carbon cutting and carbon footprint. These terms do not just stop at being words but by carbon cutting, one HAS to do a lifestyle change to be able to lessen one’s carbon footprint.

A carbon footprint is “a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change” according to this site.

Determining one’s carbon footprint does not entail making drastic changes but rather making small steps towards changing what used to be sources of wasted energy, be it about electricity or gas emissions.

Some of the nitty-gritty details include lessening the use of non-biodegradable materials like Styrofoam, changing incandescent bulbs to fluorescent light, among other  things.

For a more detailed understanding of the topic, here is a Carbon Footprint Calculator that will help you analyze the conditions about you and your household.

Are you ready to make new changes?

Mag-Recycle ng Plastik

Plastik ang tema sa Litratong Pinoy.

Plastik?

Ok, game, one more time.

Under the Trees

The trees near the house are all green and in “full bloom

Much as I love the shade which we don’t have much use save for providing covering from the sun’s heat, it would be definitely fun to have picnic lunches under these trees using outdoor rugs.

It would be fun bird watching there.

Alas, the dog’s cage is under the trees. Outside the perimeter fence, the neighbors put their benches and sit under the shade, at times bringing their food ( and hard drinks) and making noise.

Do I tell them to stop? Would I dare to because they are disturbing the peace? if I do, I am the one who is haughty and arrogant.
