Daig ng Maagap ang Masipag

EDSA at 8am

Ang kasabihan ng mga matatanda, “daig ng maagap ang masipag”.

Hindi ko alam kung ito ang English version ng “the early bird gets the worm”, hehehe, ano sa palagay ninyo?

Tama din naman yang kasabihan pero dapat ito ay may kaakibat ding kasipagan.

Ayan, maagap sana kami, maaga umalis ngunit ganun din pala ang nasa isip ng karamihan kaya yan, nagdulot ng trapiko.

Sabagay di na bago itong ganitong karanasan, manhid na yata tayo sa trapiko.

Nga pala, kita niyo yung smog? Sana maagapan ang problemang iyan na nagdududlot ng sakit.

Tree-Lined Roads

It is wonderful to see trees planted near highways because these do not just give character to the road but it provides shade too. Unless strong winds will knock these down, I am ok with the idea of having these trees.

Take a look at the photo below of the highway leading to my family (my parents and brother):

Nice, isn’t it?

Of course, those Flowering Cherry trees would have been perfect, if these will survive the hot weather we have in this country.It sure would be nice to see lovely blossoms lining up the road. I think that would be awesome!

Warm Pool Waters

We were invited to go to a swimming picnic yesterday.

We dd not accept readily because my two younger kids had fever last week and they weren’t too keen to go.

Anyway, we still went since the people who invited us are close friends who are like family to us.

I chanced upon Tony (an in-law of this family who invited us and who we just met yesterday) was doing a sketch in a sketch pad he gave to the birthday girl who was the reason for the party.

He drew this:

Not as fancy like las vegas hotels but for a short weekend getaway with warm pool waters and a view of a mountain with cool breeze, this is one we would not forego.

Hanging Bridge

One of the things we enjoy doing when we go to that place to savor cool mountain air (my other WS entry) is to walk on the hanging bridge.

I was not able to walk on this bridge this time because the drizzles made the wood slippery. I don’t know why my running shoes felt that way.

Christmas Vacation

Yeah, Christmas vacation is extra long this year. From December 25th till January 24th.

Another yeah, this is absurd.

The banks are closed too, except for some who saw fit to conduct business. I am also concerned about the production side. How would we fare with the supplies especially when the holidays “demand” we get these for the food to be had? Companies are required to pay these workers more which will further give them more cost that what is necessary. Oh well, their problem, not mine.
