Children have sensitive skin that’s why we try to have them use the best skin care products that are not harsh and gentle on the skin.

One of the products that they currently use is the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion.

Tara Na! Pasyal Tayo

Sundays are family days. Families usually take this free day to bond by doing different things for fun or for other purposes.

Ang araw ng Linggo ay para sa pamilya. Ang mga pamilya ay ginagamit ang araw ng Linggo para magsama-sama at maging masaya o kaya naman para sa ibang dahilan.

We usually stay in during Sundays for this is the time we just stay in the house and relax with the kids. They don’t want to go anywhere so we just hear mass in the afternoon and have dinner somewhere.

Kadalasan, nasa bahay lang kami kapag Linggo upang makapag-pahinga kasama ng mga bata. Ayaw din nila umalis, magsisimba lang kami sa hapon at kakain sa labas.

Sometimes we go out and when we do, we usually go to the nearby UP Diliman for nature walks and biking and for a plate of Rodic’s tapsilog.

Kung minsan umaalis kami pero kadalasan, dito kami sa UP Diliman pumupunta para maglakad-lakad at magbisikleta at siyempre, kakain ng tapsilog sa Rodic’s.

Going to UP feels incomplete for the kids without a cup of taho and some sweets.

Parang hindi kumpleto ang pasyal dun sa mga bata kung hindi sila bibili ng taho at ng mga pagkaing matamis.

Happy Birthday, My Big Baby Girl

Today is the birthday of my eldest daughter.

She will be turning 13 and I know, we know, that this is a milestone.

Gone are the baby clothes that she used to wear. Gone are the cute baby shoes too, as well as the cute hair clips that used to adorn her hair. Cute little baby girl, yes she used to be one.

She prefers jeans and shirts now. The cute baby shoes have been replaced by comfortable shoes or by colorful flip-flops. The cute hair clips? No more because she prefers to just let her hair hang on her shoulders. Practical, that is what she is now.

Now that my hubby and I are entering a new phase in our parenting experience, we try to make things easier for all of us. Yes, we try hard to do so.

Sunday Mornings at UP Diliman

Sunday mornings at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City is bustling with activities. Not that there are classes but the activities show people having fun and relaxing in an atmosphere of quiet among majestic trees.

Biking people, walking people and picnicking people can be found. Guy with red shirt on the bike is my hubby.

Aside from that, people engage in different sports like badminton, frisbee throwing, soccer, skateboarding, and tennis. There are tai chi groups too and other local sports like the arnis.

There are also those who fly kites, depending on the weather.

Most people take walks and runs or jogs. They seem to be enjoying these activities and most have earphones plugged to their ears to help them get in the mood. If these walking and running are done on a daily basis, maybe there is no need for Ephedrasil hardcore to burn those fats, if they religiously do these fitness regimen. That includes me too.

There are lots of families that can be seen here, enjoying time to be together.

This is a good place to unwind and just enjoy nature and quiet.

Population Explosion in the Philippines

The Philippines is the world’s 12th most populous country, with a population of over 90 million as of 2008. This is according to this article.

This is not surprising, given the stance of the Catholic Church on birth control method. Click here for the official Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines statement on Contraceptive Mentality.

The way the government seem to agree with the church regarding the issue is also a factor which contributed to the fact that the population boom is escalating and there are really clear actions how to stop the numbers from escalating.

The USAID has been supporting The Philippine Family Program for years and the objectives that they have outlined are agreeable with me. Click here to read the Factsheet.

The WQ#11 was inspired by the answer of Lovelyn to WQ#10 regarding the Little Girl and I want to know your opinion on this very important and controversial topic of Family Planning Issues and the ballooning population of the country:

Should people heed the call of the Catholic Church to not use artificial means of contraception/reproductive health products and services OR should they go ahead, talk to their doctors and plan for how they want to practice family planning?

My answer:

I believe in the stance of the church that people should not contradict the “fruitfulness of human reproductive capacities given by the Creator and hence are morally wrong”. But on second thought, the church should not pass judgment on people regarding their stance on the use of artificial contraception as morally wrong.
