Ugh.

The Weekly Question has a story behind it that I would like to include in the question that I am going to send out.

Here goes:

weeklyquestions2.jpg

One day, a friend told me about her trip to a nearby province that is known for its culinary arts and expertise. She, together with her family visited a cousin who got married to a wife from that said province.

Filipinos are being known for their hospitality so we could just imagine how  scrumptious the food served to them.

As this friend was well into her second serving of the very yummy and creamy lasagna, she happened to comment to her cousin’s wife (who cooked all their food) how the beef in the lasagna is so tender.

She got really surprised when her cousin’s wife relied that she did not use beef in the lasagna.

She used pig brains.

I would not say how my friend reacted so I  am going to  ask you this question:

If it were you in that situation, what would you do?

My answer:

If it was me and I was well into my second plate still alive, I will probably just eat the remainder of my lasagna.

Or when the hostess is not looking,  I will probably go run to the bathroom and try to maybe, force myself to retch whatever can be taken out of my system. Ugh.

I am not really choosy when it comes to food but now that I am not getting any younger, I want to be healthier and be able to eat the right food. Choosing the right food might do the trick and maybe the best diet pills to help me curb the cravings for sweets.

What about you? What would you do? Join me here in my Weekly Questions meme.

Have a great week everyone! 🙂

Silver Cars o Mga Kotseng Kulay Pilak

 litratongpinoy1.gif

It is Thursday once again. This is a happy day for me because this is not just Litratong Pinoy day but a day wherein I stay home.   The theme for this Thursday is SILVER. This is a difficult theme for me for I have lots of photos with silver.

I will try to see how much you know about cars and let you answer my questions without seeing the image’s caption.

Gusto kong malaman ang inyong kaalaman sa sasakyan at pasasagutin sa aking mga tanong na hindi titingin sa label ng larawan.

Do you like this car? Who can tell me what this is?

Eto, gusto mo ba ang kotseng ito? Sino ang makakapagsabi kung ano ang tawag o modelo ng kotseng ito?

Eto pa ang isa. Sino ang makakapagsabi kung anong tatak ng otong ito?

Yup, that is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. But what number?

Are You a Cry Baby?

I remember this song back when I was younger: “I sing because I’m happy. I sing because I’m free. His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.”

Click here to listen to the song and its lyrics.

No, the Weekly Question is not about singing. Yet.

It’s about crying. Why crying? Because this song, with its wonderful lyrics, makes me want to cry. And so does a lot of other things.

So here goes the Weekly Question Number 16:

What makes you cry?

My answer:

There are a lot of things that make me cry:

  • When one of my children is hurt, I cry.
  • When I hear sad love songs and watch a sad movie, I cry.
  • When I watch something sentimental, even a television commercial, this makes me cry.
  • When I hear wonderful comments for me and not-so wonderful comments, I cry.
  • Even emails with heart-wrenching lessons and life stories make me cry.
  • I  cry usually when I am frustrated like when I lost all my photos during the WordCamp Philippines 2008 event yesterday. All photos of the lectures I attended were there. I just didn’t have the opportunity to do that because there were a lot of people.
  • Pretty much a lot of things make me cry. I will not deny this. I don’t want to watch some TV shows because these make me cry.

I cry silent tears.

I sniffle.

What about you? What makes you cry?

Blogging for Advocacy

Two weeks ago, we discussed about the advocacy or the cause that we might want to support.

I have been very happy about the different causes that we would like to give our support to, in our own grand and small ways should the right time comes for us to fulfill these dream for others.

Being a blogger, I have come to realize that through blogging, we can start this advocacy that we have dreaming of.

How?

By blogging about the things we are passionate about.

Yes, we can start blogging about these advocacies. Taking the first step is probably the best thing we can do and I do not mean creating a new blog for that topic, even a category for that particular topic.

With these different answers, the Weekly Question #15 is about niche blogging:

If you are to start a new blog focusing mainly on a particular topic or niche, what would your niche blogging be all about?

My answer:

Since I already have my Special Education blog, which is primarily a blog about Special Education topics, I know another niche blog would be in the making.

I Love Your Blog

I love your blog. Wow. Thank you Maiylah and Sasha for giving me this I Love Your Blog award.

iloveyourblog.jpg

Blogging has made me new friends. It has also made me connect with old friends.

I have virtually met Maiylah through Photo Hunters and I have admired her wonderful photos.

Sasha, well, we almost met during the iBlog3 conference last year. We have communicated through sms and she helped answer a lot of my questions about blogging.

This award coming from both is very special to me and here is why:

Both lady bloggers are a part of my small and intimate circle of blogging friends who answer my Weekly Questions which incidentally, our focus last week was about our Facial Regimen. It was fun reading about what they do before they go to sleep and what could probably be the best acne treatment we can have to be able to have smooth skin. As I have discovered through their answers, we have the same nightly rituals.
