New Theme

Second day of our three-day weekend break.

We just stayed in. We were supposed to go to a car show but the children preferred to stay home. We were supposed to go to church late in the afternoon but hubby has slept and we didn’t wake him up.

After dinner, hubby changed my blog theme:

A refreshing new theme for Greenbucks.Info which I think I will have for now.

He also changed the other GreenBucks blog’s theme. There was a lot of tweaking here and there for this other one.

I hope everyone feels refreshed after the weekend. This Monday is a holiday today and we will enjoy this day by going to a children’s party in the afternoon. After I work with two of my students.

Bloggers Meet Dr Vicki Belo

weekendsnaphot_button.gif

Saturday after work, hubby and the kids brought me to the Belo Medical Center along T.Morato Street for a bloggers event. The Belo Medical Center is the leader when it comes to re-shaping bodies using mostly non-invasive treatments. Click here to visit their website, BeloMed.

We were first told about the history of the medical center by Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr.

Some numbers were presented (which I blurred) along with the presentation of their services.

The beautiful doctor herself, Dr Vicki Belo, personally greeted us and gave a talk about the purpose of having the bloggers invited to their center.

After that, we were told to try some of the treatments that they have there. I opted to try the Power Peel. Click here to read Power Peel.

That’s me, trying the Power Peel. I know, I could also do some other services but this will have to do for now 🙂

We were also treated to a wonderful dinner at Packo’s Grill.

It was a wonderful night made more special by seeing blogger friends and meeting new ones 🙂

Good thing I was able to upload these photos in my computer when we got back after the event because we had to reformat my memory stick yesterday.

Sunday Mornings at UP Diliman

weekendsnaphot_button1.gif

Sunday mornings at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City is bustling with activities. Not that there are classes but the activities show people having fun and relaxing in an atmosphere of quiet among majestic trees.

Biking people, walking people and picnicking people can be found. Guy with red shirt on the bike is my hubby.

Aside from that, people engage in different sports like badminton, frisbee throwing, soccer, skateboarding, and tennis. There are tai chi groups too and other local sports like the arnis.

There are also those who fly kites, depending on the weather.

Most people take walks and runs or jogs. They seem to be enjoying these activities and most have earphones plugged to their ears to help them get in the mood. If these walking and running are done on a daily basis, maybe there is no need for Ephedrasil hardcore to burn those fats, if they religiously do these fitness regimen. That includes me too.

There are lots of families that can be seen here, enjoying time to be together.

This is a good place to unwind and just enjoy nature and quiet.

Market One at Lung Center in Quezon City

It has been a longtime since we last visited Sidcor, now called the Market One, located at the Lung Center in Quezon City. Here, one can find a lot of fresh produce, freshly baked goodies, organic food, live crabs and other fish products, cooked food, plants, pets, furnitures and the usual stuff like accessories, clothes and knick-knacks.

This is a few minutes from where we live.

Why we chose to go there yesterday resulted in both good and bad decisions.

It was a bad decision because it rained a just after we got there. Hubby and the two younger kids just got themselves a box of pizza, some drinks and went to eat in the car. Trixie and I went around to look for things to bring home. I wasn’t able to take photos too.

On the other hand, it was a good decision because we were able to get good fish parts. We had a “maya-maya ulo sinigang sa miso” or snapper (head) sour soup with miso. We also got vegetables, a tray of eggs (30 pieces), a grilled tuna for lunch and a piece of yakon (this is going to be another post).

One of the many fish stalls at Market One. This was where I got my snapper head and other fish parts (upper right side of photo).

Grilled fish. The stall’s tarp sign says it is Grilled Tuna but it doesn’t taste like tuna to me. Anyway, we still enjoyed it for lunch. I had it with fresh tomatoes and raw onions (gah!).

Fiery Sky

Oh no! Another one of my sunset photos, this time taken on a Saturday afternoon at home. This rarely happens because I am not usually home early Saturday afternoons. I finish work at 5pm and get usually get home around 6:30pm after I go get some grocery items.

No date here, I had to crop the photo to remove the clothes hanging in a clothes line further down 3 houses from us 😀
