California Berry Ice Ice Baby

Sometime ago, I purchased California Berry’s Ice Ice Baby vouchers for the family.

I know we had these yummy desserts a long time ago, but I’m just blogging about it now.

Anyway, the kids enjoyed the idea of using the vouchers so much so I got another set of vouchers earlier this month. LOL.

gummy bears

Gummy bears and blueberries. Don’t ask, lol.

oreo

Oreo bits and shaved ice ala cookies and cream.

kiwi

Banana and kiwi slices.

There are so many kinds of vouchers to be bought online from restaurant vouchers (we’ve had a few of these) to vacation packages (no thanks), car cleaning services (we availed of this before too), cakes (I just ordered one a few weeks ago), “beauty procedures” (ahem!) and gadgets (we did too and had ordered another one last night). I wonder what they’ll think of next time: motorhome repair, leaky roof repair, gardening services or home-based pet grooming services?

I saw a house-cleaning services in one of the sites. I think I need more than one voucher, LOL.

Gifting Season via Online Discount Vouchers

Gifting season is around the corner and I’m sure lot of people have their lists being filled up. Not me though, haha.

Been busy with a lot of things and as always, shopping takes a backseat. I’m enjoying doing some online shopping recently and as a matter of fact, I just purchased several vouchers for frozen yogurt and a cake (this will be delivered at home, woot).

Two months ago, we had a music players delivered to our home, bought 50% off from an online store. We also enjoyed our 50% off the price chocolate cake courtesy of another online discount voucher. I’m wondering though if I should buy Christmas presents from these sites. I’m getting ideas for gifts for boys online as well as gifts for family friends.

Last night we had a great time at a Japanese restaurant, thanks to 2 vouchers purchased online at 50% off the price.

I don’t know why I still haven’t written about our foray (mostly food vouchers) into these online discount voucher “shopping” since all purchases have been good. So far.

Digital Copies

Our wedding “VHS tape” is somewhere in the library gathering dusk and whatever musky things that stick to things like it.We still have a VHS player somewhere (or have I thrown it away?) with a Formula1 VHS stuck inside. There’s no way we can watch that wedding tape for sure unless we look for services being offered about these things.

We are looking for services that will help us “recover” the contents in that VHS tape. I know it’s bound to be expensive but I believe memory is priceless. Our digital photos are stored not just in our computers, there are also online copies as well as copies in EHD. The hubby has also “burned” these in DVDs for easier viewing. He also does dvd duplication so we have multiple copies.

The problem with these digital copies is that even if one tries to have multiple copies, there seems to be glitches unexpectedly. There are times I miss the old days when we all have hard copies of our photos, even if we have to wait for a few days to a week before these are printed 😀

Calamansi Love

I harvested, well sorta harvested, today several green juicy and definitely sour calamansi. Will post a better and higher res photo later. Click here for a link on the photo. Here is a photo of the sour babies:

calamansi

These have thin skin (dunno what they’re called) and very juicy.

Rains and used coffee grounds are two big help that had the little tree bear these little babies. Sunshine helped the little tree too of course. Everyday, I mix the used coffee grounds in water for “watering” the two little calamansi plants (the other one didn’t yield more than three of these) and the other potted plants. Still have to get photos of these pandan plants and green onions.

Yes, you can get a lot of benefits from used coffee grounds for your vegetable garden. And if you have a catering biz and Caterer Jobs, having your own vegetable garden will help you save some on your expenses to up your profit. #JustSayin’

Get used coffee grounds for free from a Starbucks near you.

Just one of the benefits of being REAL coffee drinkers. We stopped drinking instant coffee a long time ago and only have brewed coffee in the mornings and sometimes as night cap too.

Facebook Privacy Issues

You think everything you put in Facebook, no matter how you keep it private, remains private? Think again.

There is currently a movement called EUROPE V FACEBOOK and if you read the issues there (never mind if some were written in German, have someone else translate it to you like I did), you will learn a lot.

Here is another link about Facebook’s Privacy Issues.

What you will learn will make you re-think about the thing you personally share.

On the other hand, at least in Facebook, you found long-lost relatives, friends and people you used to be friends with and that’s a good thing. In fact, you think it is the best thing to happen ever since you learned to surf the web.

Ok then, just be careful about the thing you post and please, keep some of those information PRIVATE.
