Love Your Job

With the global economy slowing down, people do not choose what kind of work they have anymore. This is so true especially to those living in the third world countries like ours.

While it is also true that some people are choosy with the kind of employment they have, others make do and are thankful that they have work that pays even if the pay is meager, even if it means being away from their families. Sigh.

Others find work beyond their qualifications while they weigh their options. Nothing wrong here.

Ash Wednesday Introspection

On Wednesday, February 25, 2009, the Roman Catholic Church community will be celebrating its Ash Wednesday.

For those who were baptized in this faith, whether they are devout Catholics or not, some look forward to this day not just to have ashes on their foreheads but as a starting point in the celebration of Lent, which is the commemoration of the passion and death of Jesus Christ.

Cleaning Up

Cleaning up is not a house chore that I look forward to. Sure, I could do that but I would rather do other things like cook, blog, homeschool, read a book, watch DVD, and sleep till noon.

Back to cleaning up. What are some of the things we need, I mean I need to clean up?

I have decided to ask this question to prep us up for the coming Hearts Day:

What are your favorite romantic movies of all time?

Consideration to Others

Consideration to others for me is about courtesy.

It does not entail people to bow their heads in reverence to other people, not its not that.

Consideration encompasses not just respecting the opinions of other people, recognizing their personal space and doing things not just for your own benefit but for the benefit of others too. It shows in courtesy, knowing that there are other people besides yourself.

One of the things I don’t like to see are people who show (intentionally or unintentionally) actions that clearly do not show the proper decorum, especially when they are in public.

Take a look at this photo I took last week while I was waiting for my to-go order from a popular local food chain:

So the weekly question will focus on this photo:

What would you do if you see this in a restaurant?

My answer:
