I Need Fortitude

I have stopped doing my morning rounds for almost two weeks now due to some pain in my shin. Now I am feeling the ill-effects of not doing so: I gained weight. Sigh.

A friend was talking about some pills she took which will help in reducing the unwanted body fats. I am not sure if I am ready to have even the best diet pills yet.

I am starting again tomorrow, if not, the next day, LOL!

And I am also thinking about taking this challenge. Wish me not luck but fortitude.

Allergy Season

It is allergy season where we are. During this time of the year when the winds are colder and the temperature dips  a bit, I expect several changes to happen to me: dry and chapped lips, sniffles and runny nose, sneezing fits and headache.

If I am lucky, I don’t get sick with body aches and pains. With my second child, I spent the first two months of my pregnancy with him sick with allergies. He is the only one with asthma among my children.

This allergy season is different since I never expected my eyes to be affected but this time, it did: I got itchy and irritated red eyes that will be puffy from the huge amount of rubbing that I do.

I know, I know, I am NOT supposed to rub my eyes but I can’t help it. My.eyes.are.so.itchy!

I don’t want to take in any allergy medication. If only I can use the best eye cream available which will not only get rid of the itchiness but will also help remove wrinkles I will surely give it a go.

For now, I rest my eyes.

Really hope it helps reduce the itchiness. Argh!

Grow Your Vegetable Garden

Growing one’s own vegetable garden is nothing new. With so many kinds of diseases that people get from food, it is no wonder some people have taken steps to ensure that they are eating fresh and pesticide-free produce.

That photo above is a part of the vegetable garden of a relative. In some parts of the garden there are beets, purple cabbages, lettuce and other greens planted.

They also have herbs planted in containers but are mostly placed in their garage.

Is a pond with ducklings koi, water lilies and pond pumps next in line?

Now, that is a great idea, methinks 😀

On Keeping the Weight Off

Obesity used to be a problem associated with adults. But now, the picture has changed because children are also considered as obese.

Not only are the health problems to be considered in childhood obesity, the emotional aspect should be given importance too. Peer pressure, anxiety, low self-esteem and depression are just some of the key factors that need to be monitored.

Some parents tend to go the easy way out with their children losing weight because they themselves try products that hasten losing weight, instead of going the long process of suffering through the physical rigors of shedding the excess poundage.

Sure, going the Stimerex ES way is easier compared to hours of walking or biking or even doing household work.

One of the key factors in keeping “it” off is to start a good discipline regimen in terms of being healthy.

Yes, put that bowl of chips or stop eating that slice of cake 🙂

Age-Related

It is difficult to keep off the weight as one’s age advances and gravity’s pull becomes stronger. yeah right, am speaking from experience, lol!

If a survey would probably done, the sale of weight loss supplements to women from ages 30 and up would be significant.

Of course, it helps to lose the weight when proper diet and exercise are included in the plan to lose those excess pounds.

It is not just about getting fit but these should be done to be more healthy.

And that is what I should be doing, 😀
