Bone Care

Do you take calcium supplement? I do. When I remember to, duh. I know at my age, I should be religiously taking calcium supplement especially since I am having pains on my arm.

My late father-in-law had a bad slip which caused fracture on his hipbone which prompted his hospitalization. The more than a month stay in the hospital brought about a lot of complications which contributed to his early demise.

Why is it important to take care of our bones?

The bones are the mainframe of our bodies which aid us in our mobility. Taking care of our bones is not really difficult especially when one is practicing healthy lifestyle. Food rich in Vitamin D, K, and B like red meat, dark and green vegetables as well as milk help a lot alongside having regular physical exercise.

Calcium and joint supplements have great benefits too.

Do you give your bones enough care?

I Miss My Morning Walks

Rainy season is at its full blast. Rains in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon are common happenings these days. I still have to get my groove back and establish a routine of going out for a walk in the mornings when the kids are fetched by the school service at the ungodly hour of 5:30am. But I haven’t started yet because I only go to the gate to open it for the kids to go out then it is either back to bed or go online or do a bit of house chores for me.

Been looking at treadmills at the department store but whatever kind of tug and turn I’d do, budget won’t allow for that. I must make that a priority once the roof repair netbook new camera semestral tuition fees are all settled. If not, I might have to settle for a rain gear so that I don’t have any excuses  if in case it rains 😀

This Post is For You

Being forever on the lookout for diets that work, someone I know has been too obsessed with dieting that she has lost sight of the fun in eating healthy food that won’t compromise the expanding body width.

My solution to this conquest of the “impossible dream” would be to have more fresh fruits and vegetables, drink more water (argh! from a soda drinker) and cutting down on the salt intake among other things.

Other things include discipline to do a fitness regime and sleeping well.

I guess this friend gets my drift since I will be sending her this post I have written 😀

It is no secret that I have an on again and off again love affair with hitting the pavement and I think this is way more fun and healthier than getting life insurance plans. You know, just in case 😀

There is no more school so I have no excuse to not get up (without stressing myself cooking packed lunch very early) and start the routine once again. Yup, tomorrow, definitely, I hope 😉

Traditional Anniversary Symbols

I was looking for the title of each anniversary year and landed on this wonderful site: Wedding Anniversary. I love browsing the pages here, looking for ideas about celebrating anniversaries. Not so long ago i wrote an article about celebrating wedding anniversaries too.

Anyway, here is the list of anniversary symbols.

For someone practical like me, I have no need for fancy things because I know what I need: fitness equipment! 😀

I’m serious.
